I was trying to hold the camera still trying to get a better picture, Thank you for your expertise, cheers the makers code looked like a 45 but now looking at it with a jewelers loop it is a 43. this happens when you get older, LOL

I put it next to another one like it but made only of zinc that one is flat but with this one the makers code 43 kind of hard to tell, if you mean vaulted like the EK1's then no. Is this one only suppose to be vaulted? I have never seen a vaulted War Merit Cross 1st class

Now I see then mine is not as vaulted as yours you have a nice one thank you for sharing it with me now I know what to look for this will make a good learning curve for me. When you collect these items Ever wonder who might have worn them or this War Merit Cross 1st class itself?
