I strongly believe it is an Austrian made copy.

The only original screwbacks I've seen have this type of plate. And didn't see any examples in Maerz's KvK 1st class book either. Not sure if they ever existed though. Just don't remember ever seeing one.

So if it is an Austrian copy I take it that it is a well made fake, because it sure looks real if they went to all that trouble. At least the Antique shop honest if I buy it and find out it is a fake copy. Thank you
