    Hey guy's,
    I would greatly appreciate thise piece to be reviewed , I got it from somebody I frequently work with, baught it as a genuine, but I do have thise strange gut feeling....It should be a ground dug!!

    Looks like someone had a go with some acid on this cross. Genuine? I cannot say, but I think you are right in questioning its authenticity.

    Hi Stuke

    These crosses are heavily faked! It is difficult to tell on your example as it is damaged but the swas doesnt look like it should, it looks too thin IMO. Hopefully some experts will chip in

    Here is a side-view of the upper part of the cross...what are those diagonale stripes/ markes

    Weight on a mechanical scale (can't find my electronic one!!) is about 68 gramme.
    That seems heavy to me...??

    Thanks for posting these pics Kris. I'm having doubts about it after seeing the above. I've never seen an original marked on the ring and I've been through Gordon Williamson's book on the subject and again, all the originals there are marked on the bottom edge of the lower arm. The aging, especially on the '1939' side looks dubious too.

    Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

    Those marks are meant to be file marks,i think. But i think this is a spun cast fake. Due to the stippling & Swaz,sorry Kris. Stewy

    Got to agree with Stewy and Adrian on this piece , it's not a good one.

    Exactly what they should or could be!!! And to me the first marks that would dissappear when being in the ground or water for years.
