Defective Red Star?!

Hello Folks.

Picked up another Red Star lately. The top part seems to have been fixed a little offset clockwise.

I think these were made in two parts and soldered together.

Any thoughts on this oddity?!

Yes, now that you mention it it *is* rotated a bit. And yes, that medallion is a separate piece that is soldered to the body of the star during manufacture.

I've seen more stars with the tip of the sickle partly hidden underneath the medallion. I like this one

Good to hear there's nothing out of the ordinary here.

Funny how you can collect loads of these but up close, no two are the same!
