He has been serving at the front during the Patriotic War since the first days of the war, displaying decisiveness, steadfastness in combat, and bravery.
During the fighting on the Krim he carried out the tasks assigned to him during repeated reconnaissance operations in a brilliant manner. Heading a group of scouts on May 7, 1944 near Bezymyanny farm, he skilfully organized an ambush, during which he engaged 12 enemy soldiers, of whom 2 were killed and 4 soldiers with enemy machine guns were taken prisoner and delivered to the regimental staff.
He deserves the Order of the Red Star.
