Hi all, got this in a box of militaria at our local flea market. Would like the opinions of the specialists as I am still trying to lean the main differences.

Hi Glen, many thanks for your info. Finding it hard to truly identify original German items from fakes as some of the fakes are getting so good. I paid £70 for a box of goodies and listing it all on here to see if I done good. This is a great start to the box, I think I have covered the outlay on the box already. Once again many thanks, Steve.
Now the box is not looking so rosy after all.

you got a real bargain.
Sorry to say this Steven, but this clasp is a well known fake and have no chance to be authentic. Wrong design, wrong backplate crimping, wrong set-up and the maker mark is bad too.
Have you the chance to give it back?
Regards
Joe
I defer to your expertise...I admit being fooled by this one...Argh!
cheers, GLenn

Hi Joe, can not give it back as it came in a box full of old German stuff which paid £70 for. Looks like £70 not spent well. You live and lean the hard way. So long as you lean.

Any room for another in that hole Glen.
