Hey everyone, a friend of mine was able to go through a collection that had a mix of good and bad items. He was unsure of this one so I took a look at it. I'm pretty confident this is an authentic Fuess. The number has not been researched. It shares several attributes with two examples from Jo Rivett's site such as the "tail" that connects the - and S, the "spike" shaped I and the different sized upper leaves. It also features the off center maker mark on the rear that Fuess is known for.

I would like to hear opinions from other members of the forum before I commit to buying it from him. Thanks!

Jo Rivett chimed in on his site and gave it the thumbs up.

Good to hear. Not a badge I know anything about.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

Nice example and I hope that you can get it researched.

    Cheers, Ade.

I know of these but never looked into adding one.
I do know that adding one of these is a must for Party badge collectors.
That one in a Great looking example.
If you get it, I would be interested in the research of the number ID.

The number is associated to Hans Mack. National archives still closed but I did find a SS-Hstf Mack, Hans (*16.06.1904 Memmingen) that was a Gestapo chief in Rzeszow that did some pretty nasty things. Then this guy, who it probably wasn't for: Hans-Joachim Mack - Wikipedia
