Well the one thing that sticks out to me is that one has the/ one way and the other is \. And one has the marks in the centre and one in the top. Not sure if those are the only oddities though.

I really need to get the party badge by Jo Rivett but I'm struggling to find it anywhere in the UK or Europe (the only one on Amazon is from an American seller so comes with a hefty customs bill I imagine).

If you're going to specialise in these things, it's worth going for the better quality examples that you can buy from people/web sites that you can trust and have used before.

Yes, you definitely need Jo Rivett's book if you are collecting these badges.

Books are exempt from VAT so you don't need to worry about paying duty.

John is right .. the M1/129 badges are all fakes . Usually the fakers would throw us a bone by using the infamous “ coffin pin “ but let’s be real , they watch these sites and here we have the round attachment used . Remember though to never judge a badge solely on the attachment as we have seen genuine badges with non period attachment replacements . Take a look through this site .. well known reproduction guy .. maybe the M1/129 at Spandau came from here ... maybe the Ges Gesch Marked DRK Helferin did too .
