NER badge
This is a new NER badge I picked up. One of the reasons I can be sure it's authentic is because another user on this forum shared a perfectly matching example he dug out of the ground in Germany in 2018 (link below):

Among some of the other reasons the badge is authentic are; construction, period font, imperfect details, maker mark known to exist on other badges, correct pin plate, and certainly proper wear. These are better observations to become familiar with than just matching to a dug item story. I’m sure you’re aware of people creating stories to legitimize their item. Again, nice original badge you have there, and you have a good eye for detail.
