Post 7 is a nice original, as Bloodyamon point out. The die appears to be fine at this point as all the other letters are sharp besides the S’s. Simply a case of over-polishing as was also mentioned.
The badge had a silverwash that now has patina or it was gold gilded. Only a microscope can tell at this point.
LX, you ARE getting the hang of it! That CNC cut is rather easy to spot and it’s a clue to question those badges more. RZM era badges are close to that perfection but under close scrutiny they start to speak to you. Having many in-hand also helps.

Thanks for that - I must admit I did think that one was a 'bad un'. It can now go back with the others in my political and associations collection - well for the moment I group these badges like that - when I get enough I will sub divide them a bit more.
