Thanks to all for the replies.
I saw the handwritten price and first thought to myself, "Who would have paid 45 marks for this thing back then?" Then it dawned on me that "Rm - 45" meant 45 pfennigs.

Given an assumption of an average wage of Rm 30 back in pre-war Germany and converting that to an average wage of say, USD1000 per week these days it can roughly be translated that Rm -45 is equivalent to about $15 today. Which is what I might expect to pay today for a cloth armband.
Should I ever be inclined to want to wear one.
