I’m thinking of purchasing my first armband and was curious what the experts here think of it. The seller says the marking on the rzm tag to the right of the A4 is unusual and doesn’t know what it signifies. He’s asking around $300usd. Thank you guys!

Looks fine to me. Unissued and minty. Price is subject to you and seller to work out. We don’t do price analysis. Also A4 is not rare. You see here how the RZM was organized, as A4 was part of Ausruestung, the section for textile insignia. Ausruestung for Textilabzeichen Hersteller of the RZM license system.
