I am considering selling this armband to a fellow forum member and I want to be sure that it is authentic.. This three piece wool construction has the RZM D code that I believe represents Dienstkleidung / Cotton and fabrics... And the Hersteller tag attached. Strange... One might think it should have the RZM B Baumwolle / ?? Any response will be greatly welcomed for both parties... G
There are a couple of different theories. RZM B= Baumwolle / Cotton fabrics and RZM D = Cotton / Fabrics.. I think the clue lies in the construction and not necessarily the RZM... At the time . Many rules were not adhered to until the full force of the RZM was in control.. We also see RZM paper tags that were put on buckles that were never even made for buckles let alone M4 or metal products..
Always thought that B was for cotton and D for wool...
Over the years, I have owned and handled over a thousand of these and this is always the codes I have observed. An exception would be the golden pheasants version as there is added value for the embroidery.
