NSDAP Armband Swastika Application Question

So here's a question for the group; What accounts for how the various armbands out there had the swastikas attached?

I've seen some where they're applied in one piece so you just see the solid background sticking for the circle, and I've seem others where the swastikas look like they were hand sewn on, both examples being observed on websites like Wittman Militaria, Epic Artifacts, Lakeside, etc....did how they were applied to the armband differ depending on which company was making them?
