A question about displaying armbands

Hello, recently I've bought a nice Volkssturm armband for quite cheap. I also got a big shadow box for medals and awards, and I would like to put the armband in the shadow box. The problem is that I'm afraid that due to folding it in order for the armabnd to display nicely, the folded fabric might stretch and deteriorate overtime. What do you think? Have you had issues like this?

Yeah i dont like folding things, especially if any pressure is going to be added to it, like you dont want to add a crease to it
