Is there any way to know if these are real? Theyre sold by a small surplus company and they say these were found from Russia. Im sorry about the bad pictures.

As with all of these, could be 1944 or equally 2004.
But I don't like the cap lining much.
My advice is save your money.
Cheers, Ade.
Whoah! That was a quick reply. Thanks
With something field made you really need it in hand AND to know exactly where it came from.
I have re-enacted for over 30 years. I have known friends who had jackets and caps made from Zeltbahns. These were cheap and plentiful enough to be cut up and made into clothing. Old thread was used to sew them up. They then got true field wear and after a few years it became impossible to tell when they were made. So this is the problem.
Cheers, Ade.
Well, the easiest way to know is the smell. Old clothing like this will propably have the distinct smell. Thanks for your help, Ade!
