No. All of the insignia has been replaced and badly at that. A very nice early tunic though.

Is it possible that this was POW jacket? So that's why the insignia are replaced later?

IMHO No. A POW tunic usually has much more wear if not worn out completely. They also have markings on the back and arms most of the time. This is a very nice early tunic that was restored improperly. Late war, post 1940 collar tabs, Private purchase eagle,( I personally have never cared for this pattern) and very early shoulder boards that need to be looked at.
