Hi
I am interested in this Fliegerbluse and would appreciate any comments in case I am missing anything concerning. Tunic looks good to me although I am not familiar with the style of eagle and lanyard. Thank you, nic.

Appears to be a very nice privately tailored example.
The wearer was an officer candidate, as indicated by the officer silver twist cord around the collar and the rank of "Oberfähnrich" on the name tag. Once promoted to Leutnant, he would have to stop wearing the shooting lanyard.
The eagle looks OK to me, but perhaps some more advanced Luftwaffe collectors like Bob L. could chime in.

I agree with 'TWS' (Todd) a lovely private purchase officer candidate fliegerbluse.
I think the shooting lanyard is a collector add on, as they were worn with the badge toward the end of the shoulder,
and not at the top near the shoulder board button. There was normally a button sewn near the base of the shoulder
board to accommodate the lanyard.
Yes once he was promoted to officer status the lanyard could no longer be worn (as Todd stated above).
Cheers
Bob
Thank you Bob & Todd for your input - I very much appreciate it, nic
