I believe these are day-badges for Civilian Employees of the Fliegerhorst...

Thanks Glen
Common or rare ??
Not something commonly encountered and certainly collectible, especially for Luftwaffe Collectors...

Perfect..thanks again
I found images of that particular base online
Since we're talking about Fliegerhorsts, this is one of my favorite pieces - a dog tag from the Fliegerhorst in Sandhofen/Mannheim - Later renamed Coleman Barracks by US Forces...I worked there in the mid 1980s for the US Army Library System, living in nearby Lampertheim with my German grandmother - who still referred to the base as the "Fliegerhorst"...For a short time after the war, she worked in the Cafeteria/Snack Bar on base, but I understand that my grandfather -A Wehrmacht Veteran- wasn't happy about it and put an end to that, lol...

Fraser, Glenagain is right, they are civilian employee badges for the air base at Wesendorf in North Rhein-Westphalia. Dwight
Thanks Dwight
