Found button in Grandma's sewing box.

I know this is a rather unimportant find but I just have to ask:
I went through my (German) grandmother's sewing box and amongst some nice bakelite and glass fashion buttons from the 40's and 50's I found this metal button and I was very surprised. Could this possibly be the real thing or is it a post war Wehrmacht tunic button repro?
I have never seen one like this on the net or elsewhere (isn't the back is weird?) but my knowledge on buttons is limited, I have none :-) and I only find 3-hole Zeltplanne buttons at my hunting spot so far so nothing to compare with...

Any help appreciated. The measuring tape is in cms.

I'm not sure what it is, but the pebbled design like that was used for years after the war by the BW as well as Wehrmacht.
