Article about: Hello. Grateful for thoughts on this one please? Insignia looks to be a mix of older litzen with a printed brustadler, I don't suppose that is too unusual? There are no other visible stamps

    I appreciate these are all close ups (i'm waiting on more general pics), can anyone see any red flags with the images provided please?

    To my eye, the material and construction is consistent with tunics validated on this forum (but i normally just collect Red Army stuff so this is new for me).

    Hello,

    I believe that the collar tabs are replacements. While they are original 1st pattern einheits tabs, they came out in 1939. By 1940 the 2nd pattern were in use. Is the breast eagle a flatwire? It appears to me that it is and in that case it would also be a replacement.

    It is indeed flat wire. Thank you for your comments.

    For clarity, were flat wire eagles never worn on HBT Tunics and reserved for 'best'?
