Default Heer M36 Mantel, Opinions Welcome!

    Hello everyone!
Fist of all, I am not well versed in mantels (or even TR era uniforms in general).
This one looks okay to me but I'd like to hear any thoughts/ opinions you may have. I couldn't find any markings on the jacket itself. Unfortunately it's missing the shoulder boards but otherwise it's in great condition. The buttons seem like they where never painted.

    A couple more questions:
Is this one a private purchase mantel? Because the lining seems better and it runs the entire length of the jacket.
Also, On this one, the collar is a very light vibrant green compared to my other mantel (m36). Could the green be some kind of customs officer?

Any help/information would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance!

Looks right to me except the single button waist adjuster and missing the french cuffs (I only have a 40 model to compare with) is the lining material synthetic?

Definitely not army. Zoll had single-buttoned rear belts like yours, so check on lower-rank customs uniforms. NCO equivalent class had French cuffs.

Hello, Thank you for your replies!
I looked at some customs uniforms/mantels and the light green collar seems to match along with the single button on the back. Thanks for the info!

To answer Renés question, I think the lining material is silk, but not completely certain.

    Thanks again for the help!
    Any other information/opinions welcome.

    Regards,
    Daniel

    Hello,
For a male soldier, the Mantel should be buttoned on the other side, the left side going over the right side....
Here buttonholes are on the wrong side.
    Thanks

Thanks! I usually have it buttoned correctly, but after taking pictures of the inside I forgot to button it back correctly. I noticed it later, but didn't want to take photos again as it was already dark.
    Thanks again!

    Daniel
