    I'm considering making an offer on this aluminum (?) eagle. It's 2'4" wide and 1 foot high. Neither the owner or I are sure what it was made for. My first guess would be a Luftwaffe trophy "liberated" by a veteran, but I'm turning to the experts on this forum to tell us whether it's wartime or a fancy top for a weathervane !

    Looks pretty close.The only difference I've found with the eagle in question is that the right talon isn't lifted like most others.
