Whoops,
sorry I missed Bob's reference to the badge being made from Cellon.

It does look like the thread has the familiar yellow core thread that has been wrapped with the cellulose shiny thread.

I don't think I've seen too many LW badges manufactured with this type of thread. The ones I own are all KM.

First time I have seen a breast eagle from the Third Reich made of cellon. I had to use google to find the Norwegian word/meaning for it. Love the knowledge on this forum!!!!
