Re: New colector needs help is this real of fake
It definitely is Afrika Korp, but I am not sure of it's authenticity.

Re: New colector needs help is this real of fake
DAK tunics normally have a wound bandage pocket on the right lower inside of the jacket. They also have wire S shaped circular button retainers. There also should be size stamps on the inside of the tunic. But I am no expert.

Fake tunic with fake insignia, imo.
They never made machine embroidered eagles in heer tropical format, the litzen are printed, which they also never made. The lining/reinforcing material is absent etc...

Yeh looks like a reenactors jacket for the reasons already suggested

I agree with Jerry. Multiple problems with this one.

Re: New colector needs help is this real of fake
I've seen this type embroidered eagle before a while back. I believe this tunic was a movie prop...used in "Raid on Rommel" or "Tobruk". A seller at one of the early Maxx Shows in St. Louis had several of these on his table. A great "reinactor" piece.

Re: New colector needs help is this real of fake
Those huge collar tabs alone are a dead giveaway. the cut of material and cloth texture are incorrect.
