I think i've acquired a similar small traditional Danziger skull. This one is missing one prong, but also has it in the middle. I don't know if the prong placement on this one is authentic. The soldering does not look new, So i asume its the way it should be on this one.

I was kinda surprised when i got my hands on it. It is alot smaller then i thought it would be. The patina looks great in my opinion on this one!

Is this a skull that would have been worn on a collar tab or shoulder tab?

Unfortunatly i couldn't find any of these small traditional skulls in wear on pictures. I will do my best to find one and post it here.

Next to a cap emblem skull:

Dos, it's a perfectly good skull, even the solder looks fine. used on early panzer tabs and possibly caps as a Traditions badge. John4022 has nice example on a tab.

    Heer StuG tab (Rare Skull)

    Cheers, Al

    Hi Aldo,

Great thread on the link you are showing. I've missed that one in my search for information.

The war time photo with the skull in wear is nice to see. This answers both my qeustions, Thank you!

    Best Regards,

I acquired another one of these neat little Panzer tradition badges. This one is in relic condition with significant loss of finish and a missing piece of the top cross bone. Here it is with it's two companions. keep in mind that these are slightly smaller than the average Panzer skull.

    Cheers, Al

One of these small obscure Traditions skulls popped up on a website. They are asking 200 euro! In the past i would have jumped on something like this but I have bigger fish to fry
