Snipers badge 3rd class

Hey guys,

I’m thinking of purchasing this cloth snipers badge from one of the well established elf dealers.
I would like to know if it’s original please.
I read that late in the war the designs were simplified.

I wouldn't, I've read that there is no evidence of these being awarded war time. Imagine being captured with that on your arm. Regards Paul

What about panzer destruction badges in silver and gold stripes? Anti Partisan badge? Soldiers were are awarded similar rewards and they were wearing them.

There is photographic evidence of those awards being worn . Never seen a snipers badge in a pre May 45 photo. The badge was certainly instituted Aug 44 bit like the Luftwaffe panzer assault etc, Regards Paul.
