Something you don't find everyday.

Hello!

Wanted to share something really special and rare that recently found it's way to my collection, namely this pair of shoulder boards. What makes these so special is the waffenfarbe "Karminrot" or Carmine red, so they have a connection to a REALLY small group of men, the Luftwaffe Veterinärtruppen, or Veterinary Troops, during the war the LW Veterinary Corps only had a number of around 400 enlisted men who served with the Field Divisions.

I was very lucky to find these since as you've probably guessed Luftwaffe Veterinary Items are something you don't find often!

Very happy with this pair.

This also just arrived: A KVK award doc issued to Obergefreiter Gustav Filthuth of the 21st Luftwaffe Veterinary Company of the 21st LW Field Division, although by this point they would've been absorbed into the Heer and renamed 21. Feld-Division (L) so Obergefreiter Filthuth would most likely not have worn any LW related insignia. But it's still a neat and rare LW Veterinary Related (Somewhat atleast) award doc.
