Picked up this collar tab at an antique store and know nothing about it, can some one please tell who would have worn this, and the value.

Hello,
I think they are Heer NCO litzen (collar tabs) for cavalry units.
Hello,
You have a first pattern Third Reich Heer enlistedman's backed cavalry collar tab. This would be worn by all enlisted men of a cavalry unit on their field blouse from 1934-1939.

Now THAT is scholarship...Nicely done, Fred!
Spot on. The early Litzen included the Waffenfarbe (color) of branch of service. Later, the Litzen were made in generic style without color. At that time branch of service colior would have been shown only on the shoulder boards. NH
Hello,
In all actuality the enlisted collar tab changed from the first pattern to a second pattern, in 1939) where all three lines were dark green and the base color was grey. In 1940 they were changed again to grey on field grey when the insignia was subdued. All three styles of tabs appear on tunics backed and unbacked.
