Article about: Hoping to add some Panzer Collar tabs to my collection but I am very new to this. Worried they might be repro as they seem in extremely good condition. Any help to verify as original or not

    I actually like these.
They have good backing, the weave of the piping is nice and small, and a good set of late war, two tab, skulls.
You can compare the materials to some of my examples.
    Another single Panzer collar tab.
    Panzer Totenkopf Collar Tab

    And skulls similar to these.

Thanks Ralph. I ended up getting a different set of collar tabs that look much like the ones in your link with the 3 prongs. You mentioned that the two prong skulls are late war. Would the 3 prong skulls then be early war?

After reviewing the original ones posted again, the obverse of the skulls do seem a bit "off".
I like the second set better, but they appear to have been wet, or stored improperly at one time.
Both two prong, and three prong skulls are late war. They are both one piece stamped skulls, and this process was developed to reduce production costs, and time.
I believe the order of production was soldered prongs, crimped prongs, and then one piece stamped, roughly.
    Ralph.

Thanks for your input. What is it that you find "off" about the obverse? Is it possible that the second set just had field use?

The shape of the skull, no bottom jaw, just teeth.
And actually, the shape of the ends of the prongs on the reverse.
