Hello all. As a newbie to collecting and to the forum with a desire but not yet a trained eye, I have already been helped so much by the collective knowledge and helpfulness of you here. I have been offered some uniform pieces that I don’t know their purpose, worth or authenticity. I have the 2 sides of shoulder boards but then just a collective picture that I wonder if anything in it is of value to inquire deeper into. What say you, my friends? Thanks for looking and commenting Worthwhile purchase & identification questions ??Worthwhile purchase & identification questions ??Worthwhile purchase & identification questions ??

    Hey

I think the yellow board is for Heer Cavalry Regiment 19, an officer with the rank of Oberstleutnant. However, yellow was also used by Luftwaffe but I'm sure they didn't have the numbers on their boards.

The pink board and tab, could be Panzer, but again, a few different branches used similar colours so hopefully someone else can help out with that.

Thank you for sharing. So many variations. That is what makes collecting so interesting.

I agree with Jamie that the board is probably for the cavalry/reconnaissance (in the Luftwaffe, only Flak and (unofficially), medical units wore numerals). Also of note is that the board here is the detachable type for summer tunics.
Most of the items in the case look good, prima facia, (though I reserve comment on the yellow star and alloy cap eagle - more specialist items), and are primarily of Kriegsmarine origin.

Very nice to see such well composed and polite posts from you, Michael.

    There was no Kavallerie-Regiment 19. It is Nachrichten-Abteilung 19 of the 19 Infanterie-Division.

Thank you. I skipped this opportunity as my shared info/received pictures from current owner wasn’t enough for confirmation of authenticity.
