A difference in color as for Werkschar was within the RAD not ever a plan,
as far as structures for this organization were planned and re-organized.
It may have been as: an RAD buckle landed in between a bunch of others
that needed to be anodized. Normally such buckle would have been picked
out and was scrapped!
The shown golden RAD might have been one of the many that was gilded
after the war to see if there was a difference in golden anodizing before the
end of the war and after. I was there when during a meeting three concerns
were discussing this fact when I had asked for that. They did not have an
answer and so they asked a friended company to do the golden anodizing.
I cannot remember which aluminum or light-weight buckles were handed
over or from what companies, but it were about 25-30 in random choice.
I had given them also some of my duplicates.
When the buckles from my collection were returned, I was shocked and
practically immediately decided to stop buckle collecting as there was no
or hardly any difference when the material was right and correct (Aluminium
or Leichtmetall). It did not cost much to have an excellent RAD, police or
army officers to give a golden anodized coating. I did not want to pay for
such type of buckles. End of my period of buckle-collecting. Would you like
to pay for a deliberately golden anodized HJ leaders buckle, as there is
quite a difference in price! Its is quite easy and simple to give a buckle a
used appearance. Wearing it one week is sufficient!
As mentioned if the shown RAD was one of them I can't remember. It is possible!
