Hi, no they do not belong together. The second photo shows a pair of parade or lightweight "Y" straps. These were Army issue to help hold up the belt and ammo pouches.

    Cheers, Ade.

Nice belt and buckle though -- I like that set! Very cool!

In my opinion, the Y-strap is a Koppeltragegestell für Kavallerie (the Y-belt for Cavalry).
And seeing the horse on the buckle, I believe they do belong together.

    Cheers,

    Jakke

They dont belong together Ade is right, the buckle is State Forestry Service for Stuttgart and as noted the "Y" strap is Heer.

The straps do not belong to belt, the only item that would have gone on that belt is a pistol in its holster

Thank you for correcting me. I didn't know the buckle wasn't military.

Looking into it further I have found that Ade was mistaken I looked on it and found this mark. Also went to MP44.nl - German Uniforms and Equipment - Y Belt and saw that it would be marked. So nice call Jakke.
