Hi MAP No this was posted on craigslist and I was trying to authenticate it..the guy only posted this photo and one of the inside of the helmet
it looks in fantastic shape...which makes me doubt it's authenticity (but I could be wrong)..I'll post one of the liner/chin strap maybe that will help

Its a m59/85 Yugoslavian helmet. Nothing to do with ww2 or germany
my interest is in German Helmets as well..I just thought someone might know something about this one seeing as it is WW@ vintage (although not German) where should I post this on the site?

I would also narrow down your search by looking at the colors of the "flag" that the decal is probably trying to represent. Once you ID potential what country used these colors the search may be easier.

Its the Yugoslavian flag and it says JNA on it which means “Jugoslovenska narodna armija”
