Speer and he snowblinded everybody. Amazing, that they got away with it. Some info surfaced about Speer selling 'confiscated' art in the post war years through a middle man to auction houses that asked no questions.
He was rotten through and through.
In regards to his ludicrous claims about wanting to gas the Führer in the Bunker - dont make me laugh.

The mind set of the Nazi hierarchy always fascinates me. In their minds they were just doing a job. Humanity had nothing to do with it.
This man was one of the guys that willingly led the German youth into war and dead.
Saying he got rattlesnake eyes is an understatement.
And of course he has his charmes, otherwise you cannot fool a nation.
He was willing to sacrafice an entire generation to achive his goal: get a Nazi Flag over the entire European continent.
Im glad they failed.
He was awarded in 1938 with the Honour ring of Frankfurt: Ehrengabe der Stadt des Deutschen Handwerk, only awarded 35 times, and i have one of the 2 known rings in my possesion

Yes, a fascinating look into the time. And agree about the comment above. It went past national pride ... And I find it impossible to believe his claims of not knowing what was happening in the camps. Yes, he was charming and witty; and clearly an unrepentant follower of Hitler and the values of the NSDAP.
