Been offered this dagger, can anyone help?
A customer at work brought me this dagger in to see if i was interested. I have done some research and it all looks legit. But with any purchase i love to ask the opinions of the people on this site for there knowledge and opinion.

Text book 1936 construction from what I can see and also agree with Ralph.
Please could you
post the reverse side of the scabbard to see the hanger as well as if there are 1 or 2 runners inside the scabbard.
It should have 2 runners.
Let us know if the reverse hanger is marked LFS...it may or not be.

Hey "backwards" - This transitional blade is looking good so far. I like seeing that wear on the pommel A tip - Taking a photo outside in the natural light really helps, and more straight on vice at an off-center angle. It makes it easier to discern abnormalities in natural light. I usually lay a cloth on a chair and shoot the pics on my patio.

Looks a nice transitional henckels, Show's the typical washed out RZM etch found on this makers mid period blades. Regards Paul
Nice transitional knife, the last year that came with a Motto, as the RZM stamp says 1938.
If this one still has its original scabbard thenLarry will be right thinking it will have two inside scabbard springs (runners).
