    Default EVS Solingen HJ knife?

Hey everyone, my father in law surprised me with two knives he’s had for over 20 years. He cleaned out the estate of a man in His 90s and was given this, and a SA dagger. It looks to be original to me, but I’m no expert. It’s missing the diamond (which I’d like to purchase if anyone knows where to get one). Would anyone be able to provide some more info on the year/maker/worth? Thank you.EVS Solingen HJ knife?EVS Solingen HJ knife?EVS Solingen HJ knife?EVS Solingen HJ knife?EVS Solingen HJ knife?EVS Solingen HJ knife?EVS Solingen HJ knife?EVS Solingen HJ knife?EVS Solingen HJ knife?EVS Solingen HJ knife?EVS Solingen HJ knife?EVS Solingen HJ knife?EVS Solingen HJ knife?EVS Solingen HJ knife?EVS Solingen HJ knife?EVS Solingen HJ knife?

It is an original, in less than optimal condition.
    Wait for other opinions.

Agree with Ralph. Rough but completely authentic Emil Voos early (c1933-36) HJ knife. Trace of a motto on the blade. Scabbard leather mark of Lederwerk Finkenwalde Sedina is visible, lost it's diamond badge probably in early post war period.

I wouldn't replace the diamond. Won't increase the value and will never really be set correctly IMHO.

It is what it is and enjoy it for that!

Well original it is, battered too....
its likely i has a swapped scabbard as these thinblades ( produced up to 1936, up then replaced by ricasso ones) are commonly found with brown leather straps and only one front scabbard runner.
But wenn its a 1936 production it could be its original anodised one, as a lot of 1936 production ones had anodised ones.

Nice piece of history in a not so good condition.
