There is no reason to eliminate the post of my Krebs HJ dagger. In all fairness the moderators should return it to this topic. Who agrees with me?

I can not explain the disappearance....but you may post it again...as long as it stays relevant to the thread topic of the varied diamond types...and must be proven if possible with other Kreb types.
I apologize for any inconvenience. Regards Larry

Well Colonel its very easy to explain.....
In this post we collect Original Diamonds, not a repro like fake as yours turned out to be.
Thats why it was separated from this post and was given a post of its own.
so comming to your question: I dont agree on your Krebs being shown here.

-- Thank you for your informative posts gentlemen! I have a concern about a HY dagger I'm set to purchase. What concerns me specifically is the diamond itself. The one I'm looking at does not have the "fish scale" pattern but instead appears to be near opaque. Interestingly it also doesn't "rock" with pressure. Now reading this thread it appears there are variations/exceptions to the rule, if you will. This particular knife could still well be authentic. Just to be certain I will take a pic of said knife and post it before purchasing. From memory it's a transitional 1937 model w/ motto in quite good condition. The wear, both leather and knife, appear period and uniform. The rivets are untouched and the sheathe also passes the test. My only concern is the diamond itself.
Well mediumtall post it so we can take a look at it.

Ger
