That said, it is a fairly rare maker, that you may not find again. M7/16 they clearly made the early pattern knives but may have been culled by the RZM for not keeping to specs or contract, (36 Solingen makers lost their contracts in 1938). Odd to see no lip on the blade edge up by the ricasso, to hold the leather stopper.

That is only relevant for the one who collects on maker, i always go for quality, better a top quality knife by a more common maker as a messed one from a rare maker.
Try to sell or trade that one in the future and you will know what i mean
