    Hello,

What do you think about this knife: is it a fake, assembled from original parts and copies, or is everything okay with it?
And what could the inscription "Alhard Weber" mean? It's very nicely done, doesn't seem like the owner applied it themselves with makeshift tools.

Thank you all in advance for your response

    Hello,

What is making you question if it is a fake? Rivets look odd to me the way they are sitting but I am not in front of my laptop. See what Larry, Anderson, Gerrit and other blade brothers have to opine with. Does look like blade was scuffed up with steel wool or sandpaper to almost attempt crossgraining. Grip plates do look like they were buggered with or replaced but I cannot see well enough on my phone. Here are a couple threads to review:

As far as the name Alhard Weber on spine I am not sure.

Good eye on the rivets Kirk!
The name was done by a jeweler and would be the former owners name.

This one has typical replaced gripplates, showing a super bad fit on the back with an immense gap between plates and guard.
    Leave it where it is.

That back plate is a shocker.
