I have been offered a Hitler Jugend Knife.
I have been offered a HJ knife with the manufacturer being Schneidteufel of Solingen.
It appears as if it's been used a fair bit.
Information on this particular brand seems harder to find. Are they in any way rarer or made in a specific era than the other makers of the knife?
Any information will be gratefully received. Thank you.

Pics help.
It should be more 'desirable' to someone to really collects HJ knives.

Tex is correct photos would help...but that name is not one that I know or even in any of my HJ Lists.
Some of the advanced HJ Gents may have an answer for that.
Photos please

Hi Marty..thankyou for the photos which explains alot
This knife would be post war produced and from a German producer.
If this knife were period made.....because of the ricasso...it would of also had a complimenting RZM number.
If this knife were early produced..it would have no ricasso and also it would have the name of the producer on reverse side of the blade.
The blade itself also appears to be ground down and does not have that fat bowie knife look to it.
There were a few Third reich producers that were still in operation after the war and producing HJ style knives minus the Swastika diamond in the grip.
Appears your knife is post war with an added HJ diamond.

I agree, not an HJ knife maker, but clearly a post ww2 Scout knife re-badged with HJ diamond, as the replacement rivets show. That's an offer to say "no thanks" to.

Thank you all for the posts. I have decided to allow somebody
else who does not have the source, and excellent advice of
this forum, to purchase it.
