Re: 1937 K98 bayonet grip screws needed
Thats the S\ series, i also have one , What are the serial numbers?
The screws are the same as all the others, it will save you some time if you look for the 1942 model in bad condition, its a lot easier to find and then use its screws on the other.
Cheers.

Hi !
Your bayonet was manufactured by Gebrüder Heller and the scabbard by Pack.
Probably ypur bayo and the scabbard aren´t in the same condition ?
Then you want to mount screws from an other bayonet and the general impression in the end maybe is very poor ...
If your bayonet isn´t in a quite good condition I would try to get a matching-one ...

Hello I have a 1937 K98 bayonet ...
Frank, you wrote, your bayonet is marked with "S 178".
This is the code for the manufacturer Heller.
But I learned, "S-codes" didn´t further used since 1937 except Eickhorn and Herder, ("S-codes" till 1940).
Is there a "37" marked on the back of the blade near the crossguard ?
