in my experience unfortunately a reproduction. The rivets don't fit at all.
Comparable originals were used with fascine knives of the fire department.

In fact since the beginning I was wrong… it is not leather…it is prestoff IMO
The stiching appears to be natural material I believe but do not have any UV light to test
