An uncommon maker mark on an etched bayonet, looks like a nice example.

One issue to consider; Hack-Werke Steyr being an Austrian company was probably only a retailer of KS98 with service remembrance etchings AFTER 1938, when Germany effectively annexed the country. But Robert Klaas in it's 1938 catalogue changed the design of motif Nr.1252 and the swirling cross borders are replaced with a new motif Wayne Techet calls "potted plants".
So could a HWS KS98 be using this design post 1938 if the Vender company had withdrawn the design?
That is an interesting question. Techet does mention the E. Pack & Sohne etching design supplied to H W S is of a type they were no longer using after 1938, and he speculates a special arrangement, so perhaps there was a similar arrangement with Robert Klaas? Or is that a lingering doubt?
Just one of the fishhooks encountered in the etched bayonet genre. Knowing a bit of history helps.
