Thank you Fred, really happy with it! I will make sure to post any frogs i come across on my search thru dealers or markets here on the forum first. I can imagine many Luftwaffe or Wehrmacht frogs are marked with authentic or fake stamps of the Kriegsmarine to enhance the price of sale.

An interesting example of that happening in reverse took place on another forum some years back. A fake "SS" frog had been posted and it failed for several reasons. I must have been fixated in the way it was done, because it took the sharp eyes of AndyB (who has a lot of expertise) to point out that while worn - the frog was actually a scarce KM frog that had been selected to convert into an "SS" frog. In other words from treasure to trash for an unsuspecting collector - which is why they can certainly be a "minefield". Best Regards, Fred
