Original WW2 German frog?

Hello all,

Yesterday, my old Vietnam vet friend gave me all of his bayonets, machetes, and knives to clean and lubricate. All of these beautiful pieces sit in his garage in a cardboard box. I went through them a few days ago and saw that surface rust was building up.

I love his toys... all are original and in fantastic shape.

I found this old frog in with the knives... I believe it’s original... but it not quite sure. It’s in great condition if original. Thoughts?

I think this is original but I’m not 100% sure about the RBNR, it looks like it’s 0/0639/0049 which was used by Vereinigte-Bekleidungs-Industrie Mainz. Others will opine.

These can be hard to read but looks to me to be 0633/0041
