Very Nice. I have one of the 43asw bayonets with the matching serial numbered scabbards with the 44asw stamp on the scabbard. From what I have read some were made this way.

A good representative matching example. From memory it's the "t", " u", and "v" blocks sometime in mid 1944 (with perhaps a few stragglers at either end) that put back into service a 1943 date stamp for the scabbards by this maker for a relatively brief period. Regards, Fred

Yes same opinion, someone sharpened the blade postwar, which decrease the collector value.
