i guess the moto to alot of things if its really over rhe top in too much detail then its more likely a fake. i did rhink the elaborate etchings were the red flag on this as the rest of the bayonet seemed as it should be. thanks for confirmation appreciate it.

This is a combat bayonet, and were never allowed to be etched. Given the poor overall conditions likely a 1970's fake etching, with very little value I would think. You are correct regarding the bayonet maker.

Not well condition bayonet, so probably nothing bad, only added a fantasy etch to increase market value, it was already rusted, on blade is no remains of blueing, the maker is correct for the S84/98 bayonet, P.Weyersberg & Co under code crs in 1943, by matching bayonet it should same number on scabbard. Scabbard was probably painted black, the pommel is rusted.
