A couple of nice Durkopp S 98/05 Sawbacks Kirby, and good frogs as well. Durkopp was a general manufacturing company that made bayonets from 1914 with the S98/05 and through to about 1940 with the S84/98. After that they went out of bayonet manufacturing and focused on making light anti-aircraft guns.
As for Simson of Suhl, not particularly rare as they made bayonets throughout WW1 but post WW1 concentrated on making rifles. People in auctions often pay above market value.

Thanks for the information. I was wondering about the Simson. Thought it might be rare. I guess I am off on my thinking on the value of these sawbacks.

Hi,
two nice S98 / 05 n.A.S.
The Frog from J.Moll from Goch 1934 definitely does not belong to such a bayonet but to a revised S98 / 05 of the Reichswehr / Wehrmacht. You can also see this from the unit marking.
greetings

" I wonder if a Police bayonet would be Reissued to the REICHWEHR."
I would think unlikely.

the numbered Dürkopp bayonet was manufactured by Gottlieb Hammesfahr and supplied to Dürkopp as part of a cooperation contract. Therefore, the numbers on the bayonet could mean the internal numbering of this contract. I have one too, but the thing against my theory is that it is not numbered.
For example, at the company Mauser werke, where there was cooperation with the company Mea, these bayonets are numbered.

I would read the marking as 3 Kompanie, of the 80th Infantry Regiment. Very nice examples too.

Some errors there by declaration of marking, nice bayonets S98/05nAS both first are full ended by Durkopp Werke AG Bielefeld, both as mentioned already were delivered as blank rohling by Hammesfahr Solingen, the 2566 is normall inventory marking most real done in end of war or early 20ies, the maker of frog is Joseph Moll and should be marked to Reichswehr 80.Inf.Regiment, 3/company and I.Batallion. Anyway the piece has no sign of NS refurbishment so is questionable the frog is period there.
The second one bayonet is Weimar used and NS period reworked as blued, the scabbard was used by Landes Polizei Thueringen, but the bayonet not and they doesnt have matching number visible there. Question would be the frog is period? as brown colored frog was used only by Landjaegerei probably the porteppee is police but question remains the bayonet itself was used with police even the period marking could be removed on reverse crosspiece.
