    Hi I have the opportunity to purchase this mint 1st model. To me it looks fine. Have compared in books and online. I have not owned one of these and do not want to be blinded by the bling. Still a novice. Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks very much

    It looks to be fine from the photos. I cannot see anything that concerns me.

    Thanks Rossi appreciate it. I think so although still learning and did not expect opportunity to have something as good as this in my collection. Yet!

    Not really my area of study but, I don't see any red flags either.
    It looks to me in very nice condition as well.

    The Aluminum versions were made after the adoption of the 2nd Model LW Officer's Dagger....so technically these were only issued to NCO Flying Personnel....while a nickle version could have been used by either ....... a point usually ignored or unknown by most....
    but really a mute point....will always be called a 1st Model LW Officer's Dagger w/ Alum. fittings

    A really mint and lovely 1.st model luftwaffe dagger also known as a borddolch!
    With one of imo the best looking logo's Hörster...
    Would make a great addition to any collection!
